Scott bows out in the first round of the Division III playoffs
The Lutheran West Longhorns used powerful running game to wear down the Scott Bulldogs and earn a 31-0 victory. Using a sizable advantage on the offensive line Longhorn quarterback Clay Noble was able to methodically plow down the field and score 2 touchdowns while Lamar Scott added a 56yd scamper. The Bulldogs were never able to put together a complete drive even though they had multiple big plays in the game. Scott’s Amon Haynes used his physicality to rush 16 times for 105 to lead the bulldogs. The Bulldogs finish the season at 8-3 but a new standard has been set at Scott. Scott expects to win the city now the challenge is to win in the playoffs and compete in the state. Lutheran West is now 10-1 and advances to play top seed Parma Holy Name.
