Toledo Glass City BC wins a thriller

In a game that was chippy from the onset, the Glass City BC showed why they’re one of the top teams in the Upper Midwest. Led by Devon Haynes (36pts) the Detroit Hussle led through three quarters 76-74. With TBL All Star Chris Darrington (25pts) in foul trouble the majority of the game GCBC showed they’re not just a one man show with scoring from Eric Worthy (22), DeVonte Pratt & Clemmye Owens (13pts) and Travon Howard (12pts and 10 rebs). Even though GCBC were trailing they kept up a hectic pace with 30 fastbreak points which kept the pressure on the visitors from Detroit. In the fourth quarter GCBC amped up the defensive intensity forcing multiple late game turnovers by the Hussle which gave Chris Darrington the opportunity for late game heroics. Darrington with dazzling drives to the rim and Kaleb Vaughn free throws sealed the comeback and game for the home team’s 101-99 victory.
