Spartans fall in district final

(2/25/23) The City League Champion Start Lady Spartans season came to an end at the hands of the Springfield Blue Devils (19-6) 27-24 in the division one district final. Springfield slowed the pace of the game by using a 2-3 zone stifling Start’s offense. The Blue Devils were led by Kendall Carruthers and Jade Battle’s 8 points. Start was led in scoring by Sinai Douglas’ 11 points and conclude their season with a 22-2 record. Springfield moves on to the Division1 regional semifinals to play Rocky River Magnificat on 2/28 8pm at Sandusky High School.
