Scott holds off Clearview in double overtime.

The bulldogs got off to a fast start on a 63 yard catch and run by Daryl Barnett (6 catches for 90yds). The rest of the game was marred by penalties and turnovers until while each team moved the ball but were unable to score. Clearview’s Ashton Pabon scored and a 3yd run, the ensuing 2 pt. conversion was successful to tie the game 8-8. In overtime Scott scored first going ahead 14-8 after the conversion failed. On Clearview’s possession they scored on a 6yd run but also failed on their try. In the second overtime Clearview were stopped by the bulldog defense at the one-yard line and the Clippers best opportunity to win was thwarted. Scott scored the game winning touchdown a Barnett reception and dive into the endzone. Scott improves to 2-0 while Clearview falls to 1-1. Scott was led by Demecus Beach’s 18 carries for 145yds and Carnell Smith Jr’s 225yds on 13 of 21 passing. Next up Scott travels to Columbus East high school and Clearview plays Smithville.
