Kokomo wins battle for 1st place

5/7/23 In a game between the two top place teams in the TBL’s (The Basketball League) Upper Midwest division, the Kokomo Bobkats defeated the Glass City Wranglers 115-103. With 1st place on the line the Wranglers jumped out to a 17-point lead at home before succumbing to a methodical comeback by the Bobkats. Kokomo’s Larry Plummer led all scorers with 31 points and was aided by 24 from Derek Hawthorne. Chris Darrington had 27 points (15-19 from the line) followed by Marlon Sierra’s 20 points for the Wranglers. Both teams are in firm position to host a first round “play in” game in the TBL’s postseason format on 5/30/23.
