A night of boxing, the Summer Showdown 2

In the early bouts which were scheduled for four rounds Jeremiah Lewis-Watts of Toledo, Ohio defeated Bryon Crockett of Ashtabula, Ohio by knockout in the super lightweight division. In the second match at super welterweight James Westley II of Toledo defeated Mathew Niziolek of Monroe Michigan by split decision. (38-37,38-37,37-38)

Next up were two six round matchups. In the first Toledo’s Antwan Jones stopped Tuscon, Arizona’s Rafael Garcia in the fourth round as the referee ended the fight after a barrage of punches by Jones sent Garcia reeling.

Following the Jones/Garcia matchup was middleweight fight between Roy Barringer of Toledo and Lansing, Michigan’s Antonio Urista. Barringer won a seemingly even matchup by unanimous decision. (59-55,59-55, 58-56)

In the final bout, a supermiddleweight affair Toledo’s Deandre Ware beat Philly’s Christopher Brooker by unanimous decision (79-74,79-74,78-75 in a slugfest.
